JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The mother of a woman hit with a taser by Florida Highway Patrol recently spoke about her daughter's condition and what lies ahead for the family.
Channel 4 first followed the story last week when disturbing video was released showing the woman before and after the tasing incident where she fell to the ground, hitting her head on the concrete.

19-year-old Danielle Maudsley's mother showed two pictures of her daughter. One of how she looked before the incident last September, and another of how she looks now, in a permanent vegetative state.
The video that was released by FHP last week shows Maudsley handcuffed and trying to run out of a police substation in Pinellas Park.
When watching you can see she hits her head on the pavement after being stunned.
Her mother said everyday since that moment has been a nightmare.
"I came around the corner and saw something no mother should ever have to see. She was practically brain dead," Maudsley's mother said. "To say the least, I could barely stand it was staggering. It's hard to accept. It's a nightmare."
Internal affairs with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement determined the "use of force" was justified. Maudsley's family has hired an attorney and plans to sue FHP.
