JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An Orlando man was arrested early Thursday morning in Jacksonville after state troopers said he threw a hammer through the windshield of a semitruck traveling on Interstate 95.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 46-year-old Angel Aleman, of Hialeah, was driving the big rig north on I-95 near the Duval-Nassau county line about 3:40 a.m.

Troopers said 28-year-old Akil Meade was standing beside a disabled vehicle on the shoulder and stepped out into the outside travel lane and threw a hammer through the windshield of the truck.
Meade was arrested for the act, which troopers said was unprovoked. Troopers said they obtained several witness accounts. The Nassau County and Jacksonville sheriff's offices responded to backup the trooper who responded.
Investigators said the hammer was taken for evidence.
Aleman was not hurt.
Meade was booked into the Duval County jail on a charge of throwing a deadly object into an occupied vehicle, a second-degree felony.
He was arrested in Orange County in March for driving with a revoked license and was labeled a habitual traffic offender. He was also arrested in April in Orange County on a charge of domestic battery, and has arrests in Maryland on charges of drug possession, assault, disorderly conduct, petty theft and traffic offense.
