JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A jury convicted Kevin Christopher Jones on Wednesday evening in the 2010 death of his ex-girlfriend.
Jones, 27, was found guilty on a charge of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Latoya Jones in December 2010.

After the stabbing the woman in her home, Jones forced his injured ex-girlfriend to drive him around town.
While riding in the car, Jones reached over to the driver's side and strangled his girlfriend. Jones then jumped out of the moving car and watched it drive into a telephone pole.
According to the Medical Examiner, Latoya Jones's death was due to strangulation.
Kevin Jones faces up to life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of March 18.
