JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local family made their plea to the community Wednesday for help finding a loved one who has been missing for nearly two weeks.
Family said that 39-year-old Michael Frazier was last seen July 10 near Philips Highway and Emerson Street and that it's like he vanished overnight.
"I can't sleep. Don't really want to eat. It's crazy. All I've been doing is thinking about my brother," Lisa Denson said.
The family said that the days have been long and the nights even longer as time continues to pass with no sight or sound from Frazier.
"I've tried to get out. I've had breakdowns. It's hard for me right now but I'm trying," Denson said.
Denson said that her brother was last seen leaving a lounge on Phillips Highway the night of July 10.
"He was there. Detectives did talk with people who were there and they showed him on the camera there, leaving by himself and being there by himself," Denson said.
But according to Frazier's family, he never returned home and when they tried calling his phone, it kept going to voicemail.
Denson said her brother was a family man who always joked with her, and has two young children who are trying to figure out what's going on.
"His daughter knows. She knows, but we're just trying to keep her positive and calm about the situation," Denson said.
As difficult as that may be, Denson said her entire family is trying to remain strong as they hope for the best, trying not to think of the worst.
"I just want him. I just need to know where he is, I just need him. I hate to say it, but if it is the worst, I just need closure," Denson said.
The family said they contacted the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and expect an investigation to begin later this week.
The family is asking anyone with information to call Detective Johnson with the Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0782, or by calling Lisa Denson at 904-554-9518.
