Report: Ed White High School teacher in sex investigation fired

No description found

A report on Ed White High School has been released on its investigation into 31-year-old art teacher Christina Franklin that includes a detailed and somewhat graphic statement from a school security guard.

According to the report, the guard said he got a call to remove a student from the Art Class for skipping.

When the guard got to the class and began walking the student to the office, that student, whose name has been taken out of the report for the child's safety, told the security guard, "I can't believe she called security on me. I think I should just spill the juice."

The security guard said the student then told him Franklin had "been exchanging explicit text messages, snapchats and kik's" with the boy and that they had "messed around."

The guard said he reported the incident to the assistant principal. Later that day, the student approached the security guard again to go into more detail about his interaction with Franklin.

The guard said the student got a text from Franklin asking the student to meet her at a nearby store.

When the student got there, he said he jumped in her car and they drove around the corner and had oral sex.

The security guard ended the conversation and reported the additional information to the assistant principal, who also spoke with the student, before calling the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and DCF.

That conversation happened Oct. 15, and four days later Franklin was taken out of the classroom as the school's investigation continued, the report said.

On Oct. 21, on the advice of her attorney, Franklin declined to be interviewed by school investigators.

Being a new teacher at the school, she was still teaching under probation and was fired.

JSO is now conducting a criminal investigation into the allegations.
