PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A Putnam County couple was arrested after purchasing a controlled substance from undercover detectives Thursday, according to the Putnam County Sheriffs' Office.
Deputies said detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Drug and Vice Unit learned that Thomas Depew was attempting to purchase a large amount of the controlled substance hydromorphone with the intent of then selling the drugs on the streets of southern Putnam County. Detectives then met with Thomas Depew and his wife, Jennifer Depew, at a residence on Folklore Drive where the couple gave the detectives $300 dollars for 19 grams of hydromorphone. Detectives immediately arrested the couple and seized the drugs.

When Thomas Depew was arrested, detectives also discovered that he had marijuana and hydrocodone in his possession.
Tomas Dewpew charged with trafficking in a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of less than twenty grams of marijuana. And Jennifer Depew was charged with trafficking in a schedule II controlled substance.
The couple remains in the Putnam County Jail without bond.
