Police seek 4 in Westside murder

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says suspects considered armed, dangerous

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police on Saturday released the names and previous booking photos of four men wanted in the shooting death of a man earlier this week on Jacksonville's Westside.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Keith Thompson was found dead Wednesday in the back yard of a home on E. Westbrook Circle, just off Commonwealth Avenue, after gunshots were heard about 12:30 p.m.

On Saturday, police said four suspects were wanted in Thompson's homicide: Lewis Braclet, 24; Chyon Horne, 22; Keith Jackson, 25; and Brandon Roundtree, 24.

Police said all four have active warrants for murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.

News4Jax has learned Jackson was involved in a crash that killed UNF student Laura Erdelyi, 20. Jackson paid a traffic fine for failing to yield while making a left turn.

Jackson also has a history of drug arrests and a conviction for burglary. Braclet also has a previous drug arrest and numerous traffic offenses. Roundtree has an arrest history for drug sales, burglary and escape.

Thompson's murder is the 10th homicide of 2016 in the 32209 zip code. A.J. Jordan with the crime advocacy group MAD DADS recently walked Westbrook Circle with others, spreading the word about Brittany White, 21, and her boyfriend George Ashley, 26.

Ashley and White were both shot and killed in their car. Their baby was in the backseat and left unharmed.

"That's just a baby, and that just tells you how heartless these people are. Killing is bad in general, but to kill two people with their baby in the car and allow that person to walk the streets? We can't have that. We can't have it," Jordan said.

People living in the neighborhood were too afraid to speak publicly with News4Jax. Jordan believes that's proof people living nearby know what's going on, but aren't speaking up.

"It's a love factor in it. Let's be real, even if your family or your friend is committing a crime, you love them and you don't want to believe that this particular person committed a crime such as murder, a crime such as rape, a crime such as robbing. But they do," Jordan said.

Thompson's family said they need help with funeral costs. For anyone who wishes to contribute, the routing number is 063107513 and the account number is 352647360.

Anyone with any information on the location of these suspects is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500. Callers can remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000 by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
