JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police say an unidentified man driving a Mustang ran a stop sign and hit a couple riding a tandem bike in Mandarin on Brady an Mandarin Roads Saturday.
The Mustang was headed southbound on Brady Road when it ran a stop sign and struck the bike, according to witnesses.

The woman was flown to the Orange Park Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. The man was also taken to the Orange Park Trauma Center where he is in critical condition.
Police said there have been no arrests or citations yet, but have traffic homicide and crime scene units doing a follow up investigation.
The driver of the Mustang is said to be cooperating with police.
