JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Verizon Wireless customers reported widespread outages in the state of Florida Tuesday evening.

Customers reported they could send text messages, but could not make calls.
Among the cities listed in the outage: Jacksonville, Oviedo, Zephyrhills, Fort Lauderdale, Winter Springs, Pompano Beach, Tampa, Panama City, Fort Myers, Largo, St. Petersburg, Lake Wales, West Palm Beach, Cape Coral, Sebastian and more.
Service was restored to customers about 9 p.m. Tuesday.
It's unclear what caused the outage.
