2 winners crowned at Ms. Senior Clay County pageant

Pageant celebrates accomplishments, inner beauty

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Hilltop Restaurant in Orange Park hosted the 2016 Ms. Senior Clay County pageant Tuesday night.

The evening was filled with glitz and glamour for some of Clay County's finest female senior citizens.

Representatives from the Clay County skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities came together to compete and celebrate their accomplishments and inner beauty.

The women competing had first won a pageant in their own nursing or assisted living facility.

Thirteen women participated in the pageant and there were two winners.

Anita DePaul of Penmor at Penny Retirement Home won Ms. Assisted Living Facility.

She was a former Radio City Rockette dancer. 

Betty Miller of Life Care Orange Park, Kingsley won Ms. Skilled Nursing Facility.

Miller had survived a five-year coma from an aneurysm. 

The pageant had food and dancing for everyone to enjoy.

Attendees said it was a fun night for everyone to come together and highlight residents among the different facilities.
