FHP: Car carrier flips on I-10

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. – A semi driver hauling four vehicles Tuesday morning lost control in a curve on Interstate 10, flipping the trailer and spilling some of the cars near the treeline, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

William Carroll, 49, was headed eastbound about 8 a.m. on I-10 in Baker County and drove onto the shoulder while trying to take a right-hand curve, the FHP report said.

Carroll tried to steer right to get back on the highway, but the semi and trailer spun and then the trailer carrying the vehicles flipped, landing on its roof.

Carroll was cited for failing to drive in a single lane.
