Police investigating shooting at Cedar Hills strip club

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police are investigating a shooting at a strip club early Wednesday morning. Multiple gun shots were fired in the parking lot of the Bottomz Up strip club on Blanding Boulevard just before 2:15 a.m. That's located in the Cedar Hills area.

One man was shot and taken to a hospital in Orange Park. Police described his injuries as life-threatening. Police didn't say where the victim was shot.

It is unknown if the person shot or the shooter were patrons at the club, which was closed at the time of the shooting.

A man who lives nearby told our crew he heard the gunshots and ran outside. He said he heard a young woman screaming to call police. He said he believed he saw a dark four door car speeding from the scene. 

We have looked at a police crime map to see past crimes in the area. In the past four weeks, there were 22 reported crimes in the area. Five of those were assaults. There were also three motor vehicle thefts, five vehicle break-ins, one robbery, two burglaries and six reported thefts or larcenies.
