Video shows shark eating smaller shark at Jacksonville Beach Pier

Darrell Ruger captures video on Facebook Live

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It's a shark-eat-shark world out there.

A video posted on social medai shows a large shark eating a smaller shark Saturday afternoon at the Jacksonville Beach Pier.

Darrell Ruger, who captured the video on Facebook Live around 3 p.m., said after the fisherman had a 45-minute fight with the huge shark, the shark broke the line.

The fisherman was trying to get most of his fishing line back before cutting it, but it broke before he could.

Bystanders said the small shark appeared to be 2-feet long and the big shark, or lemon shark, appeared to be between 6- or 7-feet in length, but their sizes aren't confirmed.
