JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 15-year-old boy arrested in an attack on a Riverside bicycle shop employee last month is being charged as an adult, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Patrick Christopher Mack Jr. faces charges of aggravated battery and strong-arm robbery.

Police said Mack rode up on a bicycle to City Cycle on Park Street about 10 a.m. Sept. 7, and an asked an employee for help with a flat tire before spraying her with pepper spray and attempting to steal a bike.
As the employee tried to stop him, police said, Mack picked up a wooden chair and hit her in the face with it.
Investigators said they also reviewed City Cycle's surveillance video and noticed that the attacker was wearing the same clothing that students wear at Grand Park Education Center.
The next day, investigators went to Grand Park Education Center and the school board officer told them that the person in the surveillance image matched the description of Mack, a student at the school.
The arrest report also noted that Mack was found Sept. 7 on Moncrief Road and was taken to school, where he arrived at 11:15 a.m., according to the roll-call system.
Mack was booked into the Duval County Jail Thursday without bail.
