Five minutes later, police said, an officer spotted a vehicle near Hicks Street and Lee Avenue that matched the description provided by the caller.
The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver kept going, which led to a pursuit, according to the Police Department.
One passenger in the car, who was later identified by police as Rachelle Monroe, got out and starting running down Samuel Street.
Police said the driver, Veneta Bailey, continued traveling before stopping in a nearby business parking lot on Memorial Drive, where she was taken into custody.
Monroe was later found hiding in the attic of a home on Reed Street, where she was believed to be armed with a .45-caliber handgun, police said.
The Police Department SWAT team was called to the scene, and was preparing to make a forced entry into the home, but officers and family members were able to convince Monroe to come out peacefully, police said.
Monroe was arrested and taken to the Ware County Jail.
Police said both Monroe and Bailey are being held at the jail awaiting charges.
