JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three fisherman were rescued Tuesday after their boat caught fire 1 mile east of St. Catherines Island.
The U.S. Coast Guard said it received a call from a crew member around 3:16 p.m. saying their boat had caught fire and was taking on water.

Response boats and a helicopter crew was launched around 3:25 p.m. The helicopter crew was able to hoist the fishermen to safety and take them to Air Station Savannah, where emergency medical service personnel were waiting.
No injuries were reported.
