Residents were advised to use bottled water or bring water to a rolling boil of one minute prior to using for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The notice remained in effect until the water main was repaired and a bacteriological survey showed that the water is safe to drink. The order was rescinded just before 1 p.m. Thursday
