ORANGE PARK, Fla. – A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition after he was shot Friday night at an Orange Park apartment complex, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies were called about 9 p.m. to investigate the shooting at the Parkland Apartments on Wells Road, near the Orange Park Mall.

At last check, deputies said, the man was undergoing surgery at Orange Park Medical Center.
There's no word yet on whether anyone was taken into custody.
The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
