JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 39-year-old woman was found dead Friday afternoon behind a church in Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded about 1:45 p.m. to Master's Touch Ministry on Soutel Drive, near Norfolk Boulevard, after a passerby found the body of a woman, JSO Sgt. David Smith said.
Sunday night, police identified the woman as Rose Blossom Green.
According to Smith, investigators believe Green had been there at least a day or two.
"The circumstances surrounding the body appeared to be suspicious," Smith said.
Green was in the news in September 2011 after she was arrested in Nassau County when deputies said she tried to kidnap a baby from a Bryceville home. She was ruled not competent for prosecution and spent five years in a mental health facility being treated by the Department of Children and Families.
Her cause of death has not been determined.
