Deputies said residents of the home told them their 63-year-old grandmother, Sherry R. Johns, who was also the owner of the property, had intentionally set the fire.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies spoke with Johns, who was subsequently arrested and charged with second-degree felony arson.

Deputies said that while no one was injured, the home and a nearby vehicle that did not belong to Johns were burned to the ground.

Johns was taken to the Putnam County Jail.
