Those fees will be waived. But please note that additional fees, such as city licenses, may apply. For instance, all adopted cats pets must go home in a carrier -- if you don't have one, they're available for $7.99.

"Due to 'Kitten Season' we have cats and kittens of all ages, colors, and sizes – from semi-fluffy to uber-fluffy, from baby kittens to retiree cats – there is something for everyone!" the Humane Society says.

Adopters are asked to keep these things in mind:

  • Bring current ID and either cash or credit.
  • Be prepared to spend at least one hour with a counselor to process your adoption.
  • Adoption hours are 12-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
  • There is extra parking along the fence across from our JHS Animal Hospital building
