JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Homicide detectives are investigating after a man in his 50s was found in a pond Thursday afternoon in the Commorant Landing neighborhood, off Aladdin Road in Mandarin.
A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office sergeant said police got a call about a man's body in the water off South Reedpoint Drive. Jacksonville Fire-Rescue retrieved the body and police found no initial signs of foul play in the man's death, but police are investigating how he ended up in the lake.

Police said they had identified the victim as Steven Craig Ashcraft, 56.
