NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. – Two teenagers were rescued from the surf Saturday at Neptune Beach, the Neptune Beach Police Department said.
The teenagers were rescued by two adults at about 1:15 p.m., police said. Police have not said if the teens and adults knew each other before the rescue.

The teens and adults were taken to a nearby fire station for an assessment, police said.
One of the teens and one of the adults were later taken to Baptist Medical Center Beaches for further evaluation, police said.
Jacksonville Beach Lifeguard Capt. Rob Emahiser said there were nine other people pulled from rough surf Saturday. Three of those people were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Lifeguards are advising everyone to stay out of the water for the rest of the day. Emahiser said conditions will be reassessed Sunday morning.
