BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A Georgia man is under arrest and faces a litany of charges, accused of threatening officers.
On Dec. 12, Brunswick Police Sgt. Michael Davis got several threatening phone calls on his personal phone. Davis told the person to stop calling, but the calls continued. Two other narcotics officers overheard the calls. The caller continued to threaten the officers, saying he didn't believe they were police and they better be armed.
Authorities say, after a video call with the officers, the man realized who he was speaking with and hung up the phone.
Davis identified the caller as Clayton Cowman, the victim from an armed robbery from St. Simons Island on Nov. 19.
Cowman was charged with several charges, including terroristic threats against an officer. Glynn County authorities eventually arrested him at his home.
