Man shot and killed while driving pickup, crashes into Northside fence

Driver killed as Jacksonville police search for shooter

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The search is on for a shooter who fired several rounds at a man and killed him while he was driving on the Northside of Jacksonville, Sunday.

Tyreze Fran’Shan Littlejohn, 29, died after being shot multiple times, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Littlejohn crashed his silver pick-up truck into a fence after the shooting and was taken to UF Health. 

It happened about 2 a.m. on Van Buren Avenue in the Riverview area. 

A couple who lives in the neighborhood said they heard rapid gunfire and rolled themselves off the bed to get to the floor.

Police do not have any suspect information . But if you have any information, you are asked to call JSO.

The Sheriff's Office crime map shows that in the past month, one burglary, one car theft, and five assaults all occurred within a half-mile radius of where the shooting happened.
