Candidates on the July 24 runoff ballot

Voters will cast ballots in the July 24 primary in Republican and Democratic primaries to set the tickets for the November General Election. Here's a look at the races on the runoff ballot.

Governor

Gov. Nathan Deal is in the final year of his second term. Two Republicans got the most votes in May's seven-candidate primary.  

Republicans

The winner of the Republican runoff will face the winner of the Democratic primary, Stacey Abrams, independent Larry Odom and Libertarian Ted Metz will appear on the November ballot with the winners of the Republican and Democratic primaries.

Lieutenant Governor

Casey Cagle is leaving the post he has held since 2007.

Republicans

The winner of the Republican runoff will face Democrat Sarah Riggs Amico in November's General Election.

Secretary of State

Brian Kemp is leaving this job to run for governor.

Republicans

The winner will face Democrat John Barrow and Libertarian  Smythe Duval in the November election.

State School Superintendent

Democrats

The winner will face Republican Richard Woods in November.
