According to the Highway Patrol, Glass was driving in the left lane of westbound I-10 about 8:10 a.m. when his Acura MDX went into the right lane and hit the back of a GMC Yukon. Troopers said the Acura went onto the right shoulder before returning to the right lane and colliding again with the rear of the GMC.
Both vehicles then went off the interstate and crashed into the wooded tree line.
Glass died at the scene. According to the FHP report, it's unclear whether he was wearing a seat belt and investigators are working to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
The driver of the GMC, a 47-year-old Jacksonville man, and the two teenage passengers in the GMC were reported uninjured.
