JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 22-year-old man was shot to death Wednesday afternoon at an apartment complex on Jammes Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
A homicide detective said the man, later identified as Jocolby Cummings, was fatally shot between two buildings.

Dozens of officers were at the apartments and a corner of the complex was blocked by crime scene tape.
Police said they were talking to several witnesses, hoping to learn a motive and information about who shot the victim.
The shooting death is being investigated as a murder, according to the Sheriff's Office.
