Elderly driver was hospitalized in stable condition

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – A small hatchback on Friday afternoon crashed into a LensCrafters located on Blanding Boulevard, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

A photo from the scene shows the car, which crashed through the glass windows of the store, just south of Wells Road.

According to investigators, an elderly woman, who was driving the car, was taken to the hospital. No one in the business was injured.

Young Hur, who works at the Boost Mobile store next door, said he and a customer he was assisting heard the crash and ran to help.

"At the moment, the older lady (was) inside the car, so me and my customer tried to move the big windows and the other people tried to help her out of the car," Hur said.

Deputies said the woman was having a medical emergency. She was in stable condition when she arrived at the hospital.
