JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida police and the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office are investigating after an employee was found dead in the John A. Delaney Student Union Building.
According to a university spokesperson, a student worker found 54-year-old Michael Jones dead in a chair on the third floor of the building.
The spokesperson confirmed Jones worked in the physical facilities department.
While there were no signs of foul play, the investigation is ongoing, according to an alert emailed to faculty and staff.
