INTERLACHEN, Fla. – Deputies are investigating after a man fell from a car and died Friday afternoon following a dispute outside a store in Interlachen, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators identified the man as Kody O'Hara, 21, of Interlachen. They said he was found in the roadway near Matchett Gas on State Road 20.
On Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office said O'Hara's death was ruled a homicide. The cause of death was not released because the investigation was still active.
According to the Sheriff's Office, witnesses told deputies that O'Hara was talking to people who were inside a dark colored sedan near Matchett Gas when the dispute occurred. During the dispute, the car pulled out of the parking lot while O'Hara was holding onto the door. He lost his grip and fell.
Detectives are looking for the sedan involved, which was believed to be dark blue or black. A previous description of the car, deputies said, was inaccurate, and the make and model are unknown.
