LAWTEY, Fla. – One person died Wednesday morning after they were hit by a CSX train in Lawtey, according to the Bradford County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office said the incident happened sometime in the late morning at a rail cross along County Road 125, shutting down traffic in the area for several hours.

It wasn't immediately clear what led up to the train striking the unnamed pedestrian. Deputies said the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
