O'NEIL, Fla. – A driver and her passenger were not hurt Monday afternoon when a car crashed into a retail store under construction on State Road 200 between Yulee and Fernandina Beach, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to the FHP report, Jana Laddusaw, 41, of St. Marys, Georgia, was driving a 2009 Cadillac DTS that crashed into the storefront of what was previously Pinch-a-Penny and the Smokehouse Meat Market about 1:10 p.m.

The passenger was a 63-year-old woman from Fernandina Beach.
A witness told News4Jax the driver had a problem with the brakes, but the FHP cited Laddusaw for careless driving.
