The wife of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state won’t finish until everybody affected by Ian is back on their feet and recovering.

“Being on the ground and talking to a lot of folks, they lived in areas where they didn’t think they needed flood insurance. This was a 500-year flood, and they’re looking for pathways to be able to rebuild,” she said. “With the $45 million that we’re doing, we’re going to ensure we can help them every way we can to get them back on their feet.”
