JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A cement truck overturned into power lines on West Beaver St. and Otis Road Wednesday morning. The truck was upside down along the side of the road, tangled in the downed power lines.
JEA spokesperson Gerri Boyce said that just over 100 customers on Otis Road are without power and it could take some time for power to be restored.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue extricated the driver from the truck. He was taken to UF Health with non-life threatening injuries.
A witness said they saw the truck take a hard right turn, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. As a result, the truck collided with both crash attenuator, left the road, flipped over and hit a concrete power line pole. The cab of the tractor trailer then hit a tree where the truck came to a stop, according to FHP.
