As of Wednesday, there are 157 adults with COVID-19 in the ICU and 22 pediatric patients with COVID-19, across the state.

Although hospitalizations are down, cases are up.

According to Wednesday’s data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Florida reported 2,010 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.

The three previous days all had fewer than 1,000 cases each. Florida hasn’t reported more than 2,000 cases in a single day since March 2 when there were 2,322 new cases.

For the past week, the rolling seven-day average for new cases has been between 1,100 and 1,200 cases a day – but Wednesday, following the latest report, it increased to 1,243.
