FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – A well-known hotel located near the Main Beach Park access in Fernandina Beach has reopened after undergoing major renovations.
Formerly known as the Comfort Suites, located at 2801 Atlantic Avenue, the new Surf & Sand Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island offers a new look that gives the 50-room property a “stylish atmosphere and elevated experience.”

With only a handful of hotel options in the area, the conveniently located hotel offers a true beach experience for locals seeking a staycation and travelers looking for a relaxing getaway. The hotel is located a block from the main beach access and fun activities and eateries such as Salt Life Food Shack, watersports rentals and tours, putt-putt, skateboarding, basketball and volleyball—all within walking distance.
