However, Bradford County Emergency Manager Brian Johns said there were precautionary evacuations because homes were threatened, but fire personnel were able to save the structures.
According to Johns, a homeowner was burning trash when it got away from him, sparking the fire. Johns added that there was a red flag, which signals no burning, out on Friday.
The fire jumped one line, Johns said, but Bradford County firefighters and forestry crews were working to get the blaze under control.
Sheriff Gordon Smith posted a Tweet on Friday asking people to be careful when driving in the area of U.S. 301 North and County Road 233 because of the flames and smoke.
