The Georgia Department of Public Health on Friday reported 64 additional deaths related to COVID-19.
Four of the newly reported deaths were recorded in Southeast Georgia. One was reported in each Brantley, Glenn, Pierce and Ware counties.

As of Friday, Georgia’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths reached 6,537.
The state Department of Public Health on Friday reported an additional 1,870 confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of those cases, 32 were reported in the six Southeast Georgia counties tracked by News4Jax.
As of Friday, a total of 302,737 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

According to the state Department of Public Health, more than 2.7 million tests had been performed in the state, which had a 10.2% positivity rate, as of Friday.
On Friday, an additional 149 hospitalizations were reported.
