BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A father and a mother were shot while driving with their small children on a Brunswick highway on Tuesday afternoon, the Glynn County Police Department said.
According to police, the family of four was traveling north on Highway 17, near the area of the port. The man told police that two vehicles pulled out in front of his vehicle, causing him to slam on his brakes.

He said one of the vehicles sped away while a silver sedan pulled up beside the man’s vehicle and started shooting.
The man was struck but the bullet did not penetrate, police said. But his wife was hit in the neck. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. The man refused treatment and the children were not hurt.
The investigation is ongoing.
