BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Glynn County Police Department arrested a Brunswick man at his home three days after he evaded a pursuit and was accused of possession of a firearm by a felon while committing a crime, according to a release.
On Feb. 4, the GCPD responded to a call of a person driving in a car being chased by an unknown vehicle. A patrol officer saw the two vehicles traveling on Georgia State Road 25.

The report said the officer tried to stop the offending car but it sped off. The officer pursued the car, and the man jumped out and ran from the officer.
GCPD said it executed a search warrant on the car and evidence identified the 36-year-old Brunswick man, who was arrested at his home on Wednesday.
He is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, firearm possession as a convicted felon, possession of a schedule I and II controlled substance, possession of marijuana over an ounce, aggressive driving, and felony fleeing and eluding.
