Public Information Officer Ginger Heidel, who works for the Georgia Department of Public Health, said that the event is meant to show Camden County families all the resources available for them and their babies.
“Welcoming a baby is so exciting, but it can be overwhelming, too,” said Melissa Perkins, nurse manager of the Camden County Health Department.
Perkins hopes that the free event will offer a fun way for expecting mothers and fathers to see all the support around them.
In addition to the fun, there will be practical information given on breastfeeding, car seat safety, nutrition, CPR and more.
The event is happening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Camden County Recreation Center, 1050 Wildcat Drive, in Kingsland.
