SAVANNAH, Ga. – It’s a bold crime that played out in front of a surveillance camera. Someone with a mask and hoodie ran into a gun store with a bag, dropped the bag and started grabbing semiautomatic rifles.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) are offering up to $10,000 for information that leads to the guns and an arrest.
It happened Tuesday at approximately 1:40 a.m. at Backwoods Armory in Brooklet, GA. That’s about an hour outside of Savannah.
The suspect left the gun shop with 12 firearms, which ATF says clearly poses a danger to the community.
Surveillance cameras captured the crime and the getaway car.
