Early voting in this historic election year begins Tuesday in Georgia. Voters in 159 counties have three weeks to vote early and, of course, on Election Day, as well.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger joined The Morning Show to discuss several challenges that confront the Peach State.
One was brought on by Hurricane Helene. The other by what’s been dubbed the Trump-approved election board.
There are those who believe the board is undermining voter trust and creating confusion in an area that is a key battleground in the presidential contest. Proponents of new rules the board approved say they are meant to do ensure accuracy and boost confidence.
Raffensberger says Georgia has protocols in place to handle ballots and make sure they are secure and the election outcome is fair.
