ALMA, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigations and the Bacon County Sheriff's Office is investigating after an attorney and state court judge was shot in his home Tuesday night, WTOC reported.
The Bacon County Sheriff's Office responded to an Alma residence around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in response to a reported shooting. Responding deputies found Kenneth Futch suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Bacon County Hospital, and later flown to UF Health in Jacksonville, where he was listed in stable condition.

WTOC reported there had been no arrests as of Wednesday morning.
Futch is in his second term as a part-time state court judge handling civil and misdemeanor criminal cases.
