NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – Animal control officers in Nassau County are searching for the person who abandoned an emaciated dog.
Staff at the Nassau County Humane Society named her “Hope” because they hope she will be able to recover.

They said she was pushed out of a car at the Fernandina Beach Exit off I-95 Saturday.
A good Samaritan found her and brought her in. Now she’s getting the medical help she needs.
The veterinarian believes Hope recently had puppies. The Humane Society is asking anyone with information about their whereabouts, or where Hope came from, to give them a call.
