JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A bicyclist was fatally struck by a car on Atlantic Boulevard on Monday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The accident was reported by the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department around 7 p.m.

According to police, a woman was riding a bicycle across the westbound lanes of Atlantic Boulevard, just west of Interstate 295, when she was hit by a car traveling west.
Police said the bicyclist was critically injured when they arrived at the scene. She was then transported to an area hospital, where she died, police said.
The Sheriff’s Office said two occupants of the car stopped and are cooperating with police.
