Man shot on Jacksonville’s Eastside, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriffs Office is looking for two men who police said were involved in a shooting Saturday night on the Eastside that left one person injured.

According to JSO, a man was sitting in his car on Pippin Street shortly before 10 p.m. when two men with handguns approached him and one of them told him to get out of the car.

The man tried to drive away but was shot in the head, back and arm, police said. The man was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the two armed men ran off in an unknown direction. They were reportedly wearing black hooded sweatshirts with black skull caps.

The Sheriff’s Office said robbery detectives will be taking over the investigation.
