JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was critically injured in a crash Sunday morning on Roosevelt Boulevard, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
The single-car crash, which was reported about 5:30 a.m., shut down all southbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard near Plymouth Street for a period of time.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a Chevrolet was traveling south on Roosevelt Boulevard when the vehicle left the road and collided with a concrete utility pole.
Police said the driver, who was the only occupant, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Once he arrived at the hospital, his condition was upgraded to critical, police said.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
