A man died in a crash Saturday morning off Philips Highway, north of Baymeadows Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At around 1:30 a.m., a pickup truck was traveling southbound on Philips Highway when the truck traveled onto the west shoulder and struck a roadway sign support pole, troopers said.

The driver of the truck suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
There was a passenger who was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.
Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP report.
